Ford discusses everything from playing an adventurer (Raiders of the Lost Ark), to a space pirate (Star Wars), to even a doctor accused of killing his wife (The Fugitive) and how in all that resume filler for six decades, he’s never been on television in a role until now. He explains that there was a time when television had a different reputation for film actors and was often seen as a negative move career wise, that as changed in recent years with the atmosphere and caliber of television has shifted with streaming now in the mix. In in the mix of streaming is where you will find Harrison Ford in not one, but two television series streaming on two different platforms. Ford is starring in Shrinking on AppleTV+ and 1923 on Paramount+ and tells Savannah what it was like taking on the roles at the age of 80, and if this means he is slowing down his career with television, and moving out of film. Ford discusses how its quite the contrary, he doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon, in fact, Taylor Sheridan can sign him up for a season two of 1923, because he’s ready to ride!

Ford stars in the Yellowstone Universe television series alongside a familiar face and wife, in film that is. While Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford star as husband and wife ranchers of the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch in the 1920s on television, Ford and Mirren have played husband and wife before in the 1986 film, The Mosquito Coast, adapted from the book of the same name.

Sure, Ford will talk to Guthrie about all of his upcoming work, but don’t ask him to look back and reflect; Ford says he doesn’t do much of that, even though his wife“Ally McBeal” star Calista Flockhart, would like him too. “(That’s) the direction she wants me to go,” he said. “But I’m too busy trying to figure out what I’m doing right now.”
