The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards will honor the best in American prime time television programming from June 1, 2023, until May 31, 2024, as chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, with the 76th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on September 7 and 8 at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California.[1] The ceremony will be held on September 15, 2024, and will be broadcast in the United States on ABC.[2] This will be the second primetime Emmy ceremony to be held in 2024, the 75th Emmys delayed from September 2023 to January 15, 2024 due to the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes.[3] The ceremony will be produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment.

Rewarding Archetype…

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, took place Sunday, Septemeber 15, 2024, and aired live coast to coast on ABC at 5:00 P.M. PT/ 8:00 P.M. ET. It was a ceremony celebrating the character archetypes of television, where real father and son duo, Schitts Creek father and son archetype, and Emmy winners Eugene Levy and Dan Levy hosted. The nostalgia of the character archetype presenters for this year’s ceremony honoring the best in televison for 2024 included Damon Wayans, George Lopez, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson representing their TV Dad archetypes on past series My Wife and Kids, George Lopez, and Modern Family, there was also Jimmy Smits, Don Johnson, and Niecy Nash-Betts representing their TV Cop archetype on past series NYPD Blue, Miami Vice, and Reno 911!, along with Meredith Baxter, Connie Britton, and Susan Kelechi Watson representing their TV Mom archetype on past series Family Ties, Friday Night Lights, Nashville, American Horror Story, and This Is Us, as well as Viola Davis, Gina Torres, and Christine Baranski representing their TV Lawyer archetype of past series How to Get Away with Murder, Suits, Pearson, The Good Wife, and The Good Fight, and lastly we saw the TV Doctor archetype represented by Mekhi Phifer, Mindy Kaling, Zach Braff, who all played board certified physicians on their past series ER, The Mindy Project, and Scrubs.
