This week’s FEATURED BLOG is the 2002 Espionage Thriller The Sum of All Fears based on Writer Tom Clancys novel of the same name and directed by Phil Alden Robinson. It stars Ben Affleck, Morgan Freeman, Colm Feore and Liev Schreiber!

The Sum of All Fears stars Clancy’s CIA Analyst Jack Ryan (Ben Affleck) and his mission to stop the plans of a Neo-Nazi faction that threatens to induce a catastrophic conflict between the United States and Russia‘s President by detonating a nuclear weapon at a football game in Baltimore, Maryland.

The film has a run time of 2 hours and 4 minutes and is rated PG-13. The film was a co-production between the motion picture studios of Paramount Pictures, Mace Neufeld Productions, MFP Munich Film Partners, and S.O.A.F. Productions. It premiered in theaters in the United States on May 31, 2002.

The Sum of All Fears received some mixed reviews from critics. It is considered a major Box Office success, having a worldwide theatrical run of $193.9 million compared to its production budget of $68 million and related costs for marketing the film in 2002.
