On February 15 2023, director Elizabeth Banks and stars Keri Russell, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Alden Ehrenreich sat down for an interview with Today show anchors Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer in Studio 1A to discuss their new film, Cocaine Bear.

In the interview, O’Shea Jackson discusses with the Today show how he got the role of fixer Daveed through an interaction on Twitter. Jackson plays the fixer to drug kingpin Syd White, played by Ray Liotta in the film. The cast discusses his sudden death May 26, 2022 prior to the release of the film.
